My Guiding Principles
Every human being has unique food and lifestyle needs.
One person’s food is another person’s poison. Fad diets almost always fail in the long run. So let’s determine what your unique body needs and what you enjoy.
To enhance your enjoyment is the essence of my work as a health and weight loss coach. It’s “the big secret” of the whole weight battle – believe it or not. And this part will surprise and delight you, because you may have never even suspected that weight loss & ideal health could be obtained through having more fun…well, did you?
My thoughts on Vitamins, Supplements, Detox Cleanses, Herbs and all that holistic stuff…
I love working with vitamins, herbs and natural supplements. I always keep up with the latest science and education about why certain things work, the foundation of my approach is based on my studies with with Dr. Jeffrey Bland, the father of functional medicine through nutrigenomics and lifestyle therapies.
I also bring my own personal practice to the table; the tactics that worked in the past, when nothing else I tried did.
While I believe in the seasonal cleanse practice, there are many versions of this, and the one I have designed is not extreme, or just juicing all day oriented. It is called the Clean & Clear Cleanse.
The Clean & Clear Cleanse has its roots in science, and addresses food allergies and inflammation. I offer the cleanse to my clients, individually and as a group program, 2 times a year or as an individual guided DIY Program. It’s a great way to get a jumpstart on getting healthy, and figuring out which foods work best for you. I also have incredible results with this program for people who have issues like weight loss resistance, belly fat, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
As my client, I will educate and guide you in choosing the path of supplements and nutritional power foods that I believe can greatly enhance your health and well being. However, these things are not the core of my program, just some of the valuable resources available if you so choose.
Translation: I’m not here to talk you into buying a bunch of herbs and supplements. I make them available to you if you’re interested in trying them.

Rethinking the Weight Loss Diet as the main tool for sustainable weight loss:
FACT: While 85% of people lose weight on a “diet”, only 15% of people will keep the weight off for 2 years
People don’t “fail” diets. Diets fail people.
Most prescribed nutrition programs don’t offer an enjoyable, long term approach that fits the individual. Weight loss diets don’t encourage us to become aware of what our bodies need, and can give us false hope, because they’re simply guidelines that address the bigger picture:
Eating when you are not truly hungry, or eating more than you physically need is not honoring your body, mind or spirit. That will be reflected both on the inside and the outside.
The great news is, we can fix that part.
When we lose weight without understanding how the extra weight showed up in the first place, the weight inevitably returns.
Our bodies are exquisitely intelligent. They know what we need. It’s our thinking around the food we eat, and our lack of connection between our minds and bodies that creates the extra poundage.
